Our horses are much more than working animals—they are cherished members of our family. They enjoy plenty of time to play, roam and bond with their Jarveys, fostering a life filled with care, respect and trust.
Gonzo
Age: 14 Years
Breed: Irish Draught / Irish Cob Mix
A uniquely coloured Irish Cob with a brown-and-white coat and two striking blue eyes, Gonzo is a reliable and gentle horse making him a favourite for new Jarveys learning the ropes.
Ginger
Age: 10 Years
Breed: Irish Draught / Irish Cob Mix
A beautiful mare with a distinctive colour, Ginger is one of our reliable veterans who will always get you where you need to go. Due to some respiratory sensitivities, she uses an inhaler and enjoys the comfort of soft, dust-free bedding in her stable for extra care.
Big John
Age: 7 Years
Breed: Friesian / Irish Draught Mix
One of our most handsome horses, Big John is always the first choice for any of our photo shoot opportunities. A pure pet at heart, he adores the attention he receives from our guests during his jaunts—and he’s a big fan of spearmints too!
Cilla Black
Age: 5 Years
Breed: Friesian / Irish Cob Mix
A recent addition to our team, Cilla hails from the bright lights of Dublin City and is the black beauty of the herd. She loves a good roll in the pen after a long day—but isn’t too fond of puddles!
Benson
Age: 3 Years
Breed: Irish Draught / Irish Cob Mix
One of our younger homebred horses, Benson, has a fun-loving personality and a knack for making his presence known. Currently in training to become a skilled jaunting horse, Benson approaches his lessons with enthusiasm and dedication, showing promise as a future star of our tours.
Bailey
Age: 3 Years
Breed: Irish Draught / Irish Cob Mix
Bailey, our beautiful brown-and-white mare, is the newest star in training here at the stables. With her striking coat and mischievous demeanour, she’s quickly becoming a favourite among the team. True to her playful nature, she has a funny habit of trying to nibble on her Jarvey’s hat when he’s not looking!
Dusty
Age: 20 Years
Breed: Full Irish Draught
Dusty, one of our cherished older mares, enjoys a well-earned retirement on the open pastures of our farmland outside Killarney. With her gentle nature, Dusty likes to take on the role of a maternal figure, often acting as a second mother to our younger horses and foals.
Fíona
Age: 6 Years
Breed: Irish Cob
Fiona, a graceful mare, has a special place in our hearts as she became a first-time mom to little Jimmy. Her calm personality makes her a natural leader in the herd and she’s always ready to keep a watchful eye on her playful foal.
Jimmy
Age: 3 Months
Breed: Irish Cob Mix
Jimmy, our adorable foal, is already winning hearts with his playful energy and adventurous spirit. He’s often seen leading the other foals in games of chase or curiously inspecting anything new in his surroundings.
