This is a "MUST DO" if you visit Killarney Park in Ireland. We did the combination of Jaunting Car and cruise. We loved it! I really loved the Jaunting Car with our coachman, Calvin and his horse Maggie. Maggie was his grandfather's horse, so they've been in this business for a couple of generations. Calvin was funny and informative about the area. It made my day and it was pretty amazing day after doing the Gap of Donloe (another beautiful place to visit). You can do both of these things in one day. What a GREAT adventure!

The customer service to help me plan my family’s experience was such a blessing. Louise made the suggestion of how to arrange our boat tour, jaunting cart ride and high tea and then made the reservations. My family enjoyed our time in the jaunting car with James and Debbie. We loved our time. And high tea at the Great Southern was fantastic!!

So much fun and amazing views. We had so much fun and really enjoyed the tour. It was a great way to see the park without having to walk the entire thing. And our guide Johnny was very friendly and gave us so much information and history on the park. It was cold out when we went and it was nice to end with hot tea afterwards. We would highly recommend this and we would definitely do it again.

Lovely We did the boat and horse ride combo in the national park and it was absolutely lovely. We walked in from town to get a little exercise. 30-40mins flat walk. Easy to do. The way thru the national park was definitely worth the extra 10mins.Our boat tour was wonderful leaving right from the castle and the horse drawn carriage was a great experience. A must do while in town!

Very Enjoyable Activity We enjoyed a ride on the jaunting car that included a nice tour through Killarney National Park where we were able to spot red tailed deer and Sika deer. Our guide was knowledgeable about the area and provided lovely commentary. We then took a cruise around the lower lake and saw many of the 30 islands. Also saw the white tailed sea eagle - a pair in flight. Our guide for this portion was also very knowledgeable and friendly.A very nice afternoon spent in this beautiful area.

Fun and enjoyable After a boat cruise on Lough Leane and a visit to Ross Castle we joined our driver Kevin, and Bobby for a fun drive through Killarney National Park. Kevin was fun to chat with, and he offered us lots of information about the park, and the wildlife. If you have the time take a ride in the Jaunting carriages, you won't be disappointed.

Such a wonderful experience! I had the loveliest time on my jaunting tour through Killarney National Park to Ross Castle!! My driver, Johnny, was ever so kind and very knowledgeable about the area and history! I truly loved the experience and highly recommend it. As a solo traveler, I couldn't think of a better tour. As an animal lover too, I can also say that our horse, Casey, was well loved, along with the other beautiful creatures.

Friendly and informative tour with Patrick and Molly On our last full day in Killarney, we accepted Patrick's offer to take a ride with his "boss" Molly, and we are so glad we did. Patrick was gracious enough to wait for us to get our things and take the last ride of the day, after all the other horses had packed it in. Patrick was friendly, informative and very funny. He shared with us the history of the park, identified plants, trees, and wildlife, and even shared some personal stories of his own life and family here in Killarney. He owns two other horses, and we highly recommend taking a ride with Patrick if you are staying in Killarney.

Wonderful combination This was a beautiful way to spend a couple of hours. We started with the cruise from the Ross Castle ruins after which our jaunting ride was awaiting us. We were seated with a rug over us and went on a delightful trot into the National Park. Our driver offered explanations along the way, all the while gently encouraging his horse to do his bidding. Wonderful.

Great Lake Cruise with Local History Of the two boats/operations docked for lake cruises this one appeared to be the superior of the two! The guide was extremely informative and personable. The day we went out was windy and rainy; however, the cruise was still well worth it.

Killarney kindness We went on the lake tour and Jaunting car duo with a family of three generations. The staff/captain and Jaunting car driver were both friendly, kind and knew their information about the surrounding sights and history and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The jaunting car was a highlight for the children especially when the driver offered them the reign and let the children think they had control of the horse they just loved this! Would highly recommend this for any family.

Lovely for a relaxed day off Both activities were lovely. The jaunting car takes you through beautiful views, and the guides are very friendly and can tell you all about Killarney history and daily life. The cruise boats are very spacious and comfy, the guides are informational, and the views are lovely. Overall, these two experiences combined really lets you take in the beauty of this stunning location, and is worth your time.

Jaunting & Cruising ~ late June We planned our visit to Ross Castle in Killarney National Park to include this combination tour.We really enjoyed are jaunting car tour with Debbie the horse & Michael the tour guide. He really knew his stuff, very informative & great local knowledge all with a quirky sense of humour on current affairs & balanced with a serious side too. We travelled through the beautiful park with its stunning views. We then walked to the boarding area for the cruise of Lough Leane on the Lily of Killarney; Captain Dan was informative on local hotels, landmarks & history of the area as we sailed the lough with its breath-taking views. This was a lovely experience in an amazing place...

Lake Cruise and Jaunting Car ride We really enjoyed both the cruise and jaunting car ride for different reasons. It's always peaceful to cruise on the water. This was especially because we not only learned about the monks that lived on an island in the middle of the lake but also learned about the way the lake was formed and how difficult it is to navigate through it's shoals and rock outcroppings. The jaunting car (which I learned is an Irish thing) was a blast. Our driver was a total character. we rode through the Killarney Park and saw two different types of deer and then by the lake before returning back the hotel. Our driver, who was in his 70's, was hysterical. He told a few off color jokes which made to tour even more fun. all in all two great experiences.
